Our History

Advance Agra Service, LLC, a family owned seed supply company, was chartered in 2004 with a goal of selecting and marketing the highest yielding corn hybrids for Virginia and North Carolina farmers. The vision of founder, Dale Armstrong, was to represent the needs of Virginia and North Carolina crop producers in the seed industry through a robust variety research process that makes it possible to select the highest yielding corn and soybean varieties.

Since we began in 2004, Advance Agra Service, LLC has participated with Seed Consultants Inc. of Washington Courthouse, Ohio in tens of thousands of research plots in Virginia and North Carolina. We still have a close relationship with Seed Consultants, Inc. to continue to build a locally adapted variety lineup using the latest genetics, resources and traits available to the seed industry. As a result, our listing of recommended varieties is producing added bottom-line value on hundreds of Virginia and North Carolina farms. Our business has tripled in sales since 2004 mainly through word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied customers.

Our mission is to assist our growers in moving yields forward.

We do this through:

Providing direction in research to our seed providers on behalf of our Virginia and North Carolina seed customers.
Providing marketing and technical support to our wholesale purchasers and farmer clientele.
Treating our customers, associates and competitors in a respectful and courteous manner at all times.

Acting as a clearinghouse for relevant information and ideas that affect product performance (yield results, transgenic traits, insecticides, herbicides, cultural practices, etc.)
Networking with organizations and individuals that create added bottom-line value for our clientele.

As farmers and seedsmen we endeavor to learn from the harsh lessons that come with nature’s fury and to become better stewards of our land, relationships (especially families), and our business interests.
